OLIP was proud to welcome the Medical Laboratory Professionals’ Association on board this year as one of our newest partners. Marie Geard, Manager of Membership Services and Certification at the MLPAO shared the following:
“The Medical Laboratory Professionals' Association of Ontario (MLPAO) is a dedicated non-profit organization that advocates for the interests of Medical Laboratory Professionals in Ontario. As the fourth largest healthcare profession, next to doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, we engage with government, regulatory bodies, educational institutions, healthcare professions, and other key stakeholders to ensure our members' voices are heard. Currently, we are calling for direct investment to address the critical human health resource shortage affecting laboratories across our province. We proudly support the Ontario Legislature Internship Programmme (OLIP) as it nurtures talent, fosters professional growth, and shapes the future leaders of Ontario.”
