We met with Jeff Connell, Vice President of Corporate Affairs at the Canadian Generic Pharmaceuticals Association (CGPA). The GCPA is an organization that represents generic pharmaceutical medicine producers, which make the same drugs as brand name pharmaceutical companies but sell them at a reduced price.
It was very interesting to hear from Jeff about the importance of the generic medicines industry in Canada, and we left our meeting with a much better understanding of the process of decision-making surrounding drug approval, drug market regulations and the role of government drug plans in determining which medicines are prescribed in pharmacies.
Thank you to the CGPA for your support of OLIP and thank you to Jeff for taking the time to engage in an interesting and important discussion.
