Our Meeting With Premier Doug Ford

Back in March, we had the privilege of meeting The Honourable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario! 

Premier Ford discussed his vision for the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party, as he begins his third mandate as Premier of this province. He also shared his reflections on the threat of tariffs from South of the border, reaffirming his commitment to investing in and supporting businesses. He shared insights on building interprovincial relationships in his role as Chair of the Council of the Federation, and the importance of financially supporting the Canadian economy, especially during this time. These are all issues that we have been hearing a lot about over the past few months, so it was fascinating to discuss these topics with the Premier! 

Premier Ford was proud to discuss the growth and evolution of the Ontario PC party, which now includes many diverse members from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, as he believes that this is a much more accurate representation of the people of Ontario. His parting advice to the interns was to keep in mind and implement what he referred to as the “3 C’s”: cashflow, communication and courage. Although not beginning with the letter “c,” he also emphasized the importance of work ethic!
