The 46th OLIP intern cohort officially started our orientation earlier this month. Although we have been mostly working from home due to the pandemic, we have gone into the Legislature in-person on several occasions to get acquainted with the building and to get a deeper understanding of what we can expect in our role. Like many visitors to the Legislature, we were struck by the grandiosity and significance of the place. We are hopeful that we will be able to spend more time there as we move through the year and as we prepare for our placements with MPPs in the coming weeks.
This year’s cohort brings a wide variety of passions and interests to the role. Drawn from universities across Ontario, this group will surely bring many perspectives (and questions) with us to meetings with OLIP supporters. If you would like to know more about our academic backgrounds, please take a look at our ‘The Interns’ page on olipinterns.ca.
Be sure to follow us on our social media channels for updates about this year’s program. We can’t wait to see what the year holds for us!
