Sylvia Kim

Sylvia Kim was born in Sydney but grew up in Busan and moved to Toronto when she was 8 years old. Sylvia graduated from McGill University with distinction and a first class honours designation in International Development Studies with a minor in Economics. Her research interests include comparative politics, economic development, conflict resolution, and federalism. In particular, her undergraduate thesis explored the multifaceted role of China's aid model in Zambia's socioeconomic development. She also participated in an exchange program to Sciences Po Paris where she studied EU's fiscal and monetary policies. During her undergraduate studies, Sylvia was active in community service initiatives in Montreal including the World Partnership Walk and Canada World Youth.
